NOMINATION OF SAMANTHA POWER TO BE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UNITED STATES 
   OF AMERICA TO THE SESSIONS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE UNITED 
 NATIONS DURING HER TENURE OF SERVICE AS REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UNITED 
                STATES OF AMERICA TO THE UNITED NATIONS

  Mr. REID. I ask unanimous consent the Senate proceed to executive 
session to consider the following nomination: Calendar No. 221; that 
the Senate proceed to vote with no intervening action or debate; the 
motion to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table with no 
intervening action or debate; that no further motions be in order to 
the nomination; that any statements related to the nomination be 
printed in the Record; the President be immediately notified of the 
Senate's action; and the Senate then resume legislative session.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, the clerk will report the 
nomination.
  The legislative clerk read as follows:

       Nomination of Samantha Power to be Representative of the 
     United States of America to the Sessions of the General 
     Assembly of the United Nations during her tenure of service 
     as Representative of the United States of America to the 
     United Nations.

  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Hearing no further debate, the question is, 
Will the Senate advise and consent to the nomination of Samantha Power 
to be Representative of the United States of America to the Sessions of 
the General Assembly of the United Nations during her tenure of service 
as Representative of the United States of America to the United 
Nations?
  The nomination was confirmed.
