                  ORDERS FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 1, 2013

  Mr. WHITEHOUSE. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the 
Senate completes its business today, it adjourn until 9:30 a.m. on 
Thursday, August 1, 2013, and that following the prayer and pledge, the 
morning hour be deemed expired, the Journal of proceedings be approved 
to date, and the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use 
until later in the day; that following any leader remarks, the Senate 
be in a period of morning business

until 11 a.m., with the time equally divided and controlled between the 
two leaders or their designees, with Senators permitted to speak 
therein for up to 10 minutes each; that following morning business, the 
Senate proceed to executive session to consider Calendar No. 96, the 
Chen nomination, under the previous order; and finally, that the 
second-degree filing deadline for amendments to S. 1243 be 11 a.m. 
tomorrow.
