NOMINATION OF NANCY JEAN SCHIFFER TO BE A MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL LABOR 
                            RELATIONS BOARD

  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the next nomination.
  The legislative clerk read the nomination of Nancy Jean Schiffer, of 
Maryland, to be a member of the National Labor Relations Board.


                             Cloture Motion

  Mr. REID. It is my understanding there is a cloture motion at the 
desk.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The Senator is correct. The cloture motion 
having been presented under rule XXII, the Chair directs the clerk to 
read the motion.
