                     THANKING THE PRESIDING OFFICER

  Mr. REID. Mr. President, I really appreciate the Presiding Officer 
being here for this extended period of time. I am very grateful, and, 
as always, the State of Maine is very fortunate to have such an 
accomplished statesman in the Senate.
