           MEASURES PLACED ON THE CALENDAR--S. 680 AND S. 691

  Mr. REID. Mr. President, I am told--and I believe this is right--
there are two bills at the desk due for a second reading.
  The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. The Senator is correct.
  The clerk will read the bills by title for a second time.
  The assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

       A bill (S. 680) to rescind amounts appropriated for fiscal 
     year 2013 for the Department of Defense for the Medium 
     Extended Air Defense System, and for other purposes.
       A bill (S. 691) to regulate large capacity ammunition 
     feeding devices.

  Mr. REID. Mr. President, I object to any further proceedings with 
respect to these two bills.
  The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. Objection having been heard, the 
bills will be placed on the calendar.
