                  RESEARCH, DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY

  Mr. REID. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate
proceed to the consideration of Calendar No. 645; that the Senate
proceed to vote without intervening action or debate on the nomination;
that the motion to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the
table, with no intervening action or debate; that no further motions be
in order to the nomination; that any statements related to the
nomination be printed in the Record; and that President Obama be
immediately notified of the Senate's action.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
  If there is no further debate, the question is, Will the Senate
advise and consent to the nomination of Richard B. Berner, of
Massachusetts, to be Director, Office of Financial Research, Department
of the Treasury?
  The nomination was confirmed.
