                             Cloture Motion

  Mr. REID. Mr. President, I sent a cloture motion to the desk with 
respect to the Shipp nomination. In fact, it may already be there.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The cloture motion having been presented under 
rule XXII, the Chair directs the clerk to read the motion.
  The assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

       We, the undersigned Senators, in accordance with the 
     provisions of rule XXII of the Standing Rules of the Senate, 
     hereby move to bring to a close debate on the nomination of 
     Michael A. Shipp, of New Jersey, to be United States District 
     Judge for the District of New Jersey.
         Harry Reid, Patrick J. Leahy, Sheldon Whitehouse, Patty 
           Murray, Jeff Merkley, Richard Blumenthal, Christopher 
           A. Coons, Mark Udall, Joseph I. Lieberman, Tom Harkin,
