Mr. REID. There is a joint resolution at the desk, and I ask for its
first reading.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will read the joint resolution by
title for the first time.
The assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

A joint resolution (S. J. Res. 41) expressing the sense of
Congress regarding the nuclear program of the Government of
     the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Mr. REID. I ask for a second reading, the purpose of which is to
place this joint resolution on the calendar under the provisions of

The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection is heard.
The joint resolution will be read the second time on the next
legislative day.
