ORDERS FOR TUESDAY, MAY 8, 2012
Mr. BROWN of Ohio. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that when
the Senate completes its business today, it adjourn until Tuesday, May
8, at 10 a.m.; that following the prayer and pledge, the Journal of
proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be deemed expired,
and the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the
day; that the Senate resume consideration of the motion to proceed to
S. 2343, the Stop Student Loan Interest Rate Hike Act, with the time
until noon evenly divided and controlled between the two leaders or
their designees; and that following the remarks of the two leaders, the
majority control the first 30 minutes and the Republicans control the
second 30 minutes; and that following the cloture vote on the motion to
proceed to S. 2343, the Senate recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the
weekly caucus meetings.
