                   MEASURE READ THE 1ST TIME--S. 2191

  Mr. REID. Mr. President, I am told there is a bill at the desk due
for its first reading.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will read the bill by title for the
first time.
  The legislative clerk read as follows:

       A bill (S. 2191) to amend the Americans with Disabilities
     Act of 1990 to prohibit the Attorney General from
     administering or enforcing certain accessibility regulations
     relating to pools at public accommodations or provided by
     public entities.

  Mr. REID. Mr. President, I now ask for a second reading and, for
purposes of placing the bill on the calendar under the provisions of
rule XIV, I object to my own request.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection is heard. The bill will be read for
a second time on the next legislative day.
