                       SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE ACT

(Mr. BROUN of Georgia asked and was given permission to address the
House for 1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.)
Mr. BROUN of Georgia. The greatest moral issue that this Nation faces
today is the killing of 4,000 babies every single day through abortion.
God cannot and will not continue to bless this land while this
atrocious practice continues.
The first bill I introduced in this Congress when I was elected in
2007, and in every single Congress since then, has been my Sanctity of
Human Life Act that scientifically describes the beginning of life when
a spermatozoon, or the sperm cell, enters the cell wall of the ovum,
the egg, to create a one-cell human being, the zygote.
Mr. Speaker, it's absolutely critical, if we want to continue to
expect God to bless America, that we stop murdering these unborn
babies, and I will continue to fight to do so. And I hope my colleagues
will see the reality that these are human beings. It's not a glob of
tissue; it's a human being created by God, and we have to protect their
lives.
