AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THE ROTUNDA
Mr. UDALL of New Mexico. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent the
Senate proceed to S. Con. Res. 29, submitted earlier today.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report.
The assistant legislative clerk read as follows:
A concurrent resolution (S. Con. Res. 29) authorizing the
use of the rotunda of the United States Capitol for an event
to present the Congressional Gold Medal, collectively, to
Neil A. Armstrong, Edwin E. ``Buzz'' Aldrin, Jr., Michael
Collins, and John Herschel Glenn, Jr., in recognition of
their significant contributions to society.
There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to the concurrent
resolution.
Mr. UDALL of New Mexico. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent the
concurrent resolution be agreed to, the motion to reconsider be laid
upon the table, with no intervening action or debate, and any
statements relating to the matter be placed in the Record as if read.

Resolved by the Senate (the House of Representatives
concurring),
SECTION 1. USE OF THE ROTUNDA OF THE UNITED STATES CAPITOL TO
PRESENT THE CONGRESSIONAL GOLD MEDAL.
(a) Authorization.--The rotunda of the United States
Capitol is authorized to be used for an event on November 16,
2011 for the presentation of the Congressional Gold Medal,
collectively, to Neil A. Armstrong, Edwin E. ``Buzz'' Aldrin,
Jr., Michael Collins, and John Herschel Glenn, Jr., in
recognition of their significant contributions to society.
(b) Preparations.--Physical preparations for the conduct of
the event described in subsection (a) shall be carried out in
accordance with such conditions as may be prescribed by the
Architect of the Capitol.
