Committee on Education and the Workforce: Subcommittee on Workforce
Protections held a hearing entitled ``Workforce Challenges Facing the
Agriculture Industry.'' Testimony was heard from Jane Oates, Assistant

MISCELLANEOUS MEASURES

Committee on Natural Resources: Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral
Resources held a hearing on the following legislation: H.R. 2360 the
``Providing for Our Workforce and Energy Resources Act'' (POWER Act);
H.R. 2752, the ``BLM Live Internet Auctions Act''; and H.R. 2803, to
direct the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Bureau of
Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement, to conduct a
technological capability assessment, survey, and economic feasibility
study regarding recovery of minerals, other than oil and natural gas,
from the shallow and deep seabed of the United States. Testimony was
heard from Walter Cruickshank, Deputy Director, Bureau of Ocean Energy
Management, Regulation and Enforcement; and public witnesses.
