CLOTURE MOTION
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the motion to invoke
cloture.
The assistant legislative clerk read as follows:
We the undersigned Senators, in accordance with the
provisions of Rule XXII of the Standing Rules of the Senate,
hereby move to bring to a close the debate on the motion to
proceed to Calendar No. 154, H.J. Res. 66,

a joint resolution approving the renewal of import
restrictions contained in the Burmese Freedom and Democracy
Act of 2003.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. By unanimous consent, the mandatory quorum
call has been waived.
The question is, Is it the sense of the Senate that debate on the
motion to proceed to H.J. Res. 66, an act approving the renewal of
import restrictions contained in the Burmese Freedom and Democracy Act
of 2003 shall be brought to a close? The yeas and nays are mandatory
under the rule.
