ORDERS FOR WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2011
Mr. DURBIN. I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes
its business today, it adjourn until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7;
that following the prayer and pledge, the Journal of proceedings be
approved to date, the morning hour be deemed expired, and the time for
the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day; that
following leader remarks, the Senate be in a period of morning business
for 1 hour, with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10
minutes each, with the time equally divided and controlled between the
two leaders or their designees, with the majority controlling the first
half and the Republicans controlling the final half; that following
morning business, the Senate resume consideration of the motion to
proceed to H.R. 1249, the America Invents Act; further, that the Senate
recess from 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus meetings
and that at 12:30 p.m. there be 30 minutes for tributes to the late
Senator Mark O. Hatfield as in morning business, with Senators
permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each. Finally, I ask unanimous
consent that all time during adjournment, recess, and morning business
count postcloture on the motion to proceed to H.R. 1249.
