Mr. REID. Mr. President, I move to proceed to Calendar No. 87, H.R.
1249.

We, the undersigned Senators, in accordance with the
provisions of rule XXII of the Standing Rules of the Senate,
hereby move to bring to a close debate on the motion to
proceed to Calendar No. 87, H.R. 1249, the Leahy-Smith
America Invents Act.

Mr. REID. I now ask unanimous consent that on Tuesday, September 6,
following the disposition of the nomination of Bernice Bouie Donald and
the resumption of the legislative session, the Senate proceed to vote
on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Calendar
No. 87, H.R. 1249; further, that the mandatory quorum under rule XXII
be waived.
