CHURCH PLAN INVESTMENT CLARIFICATION ACT
The SPEAKER pro tempore. The unfinished business is the vote on the
motion to suspend the rules and pass the bill (H.R. 33) to amend the
Securities Act of 1933 to specify when certain securities issued in
connection with church plans are treated as exempted securities for
purposes of that Act, as amended, on which the yeas and nays were
ordered.
The Clerk read the title of the bill.
The SPEAKER pro tempore. The question is on the motion offered by the
gentlewoman from Illinois (Mrs. Biggert) that the House suspend the
rules and pass the bill, as amended.

due to previous commitments in my district. Had I been present, I would
have voted ``yes.''
Mr. HARRIS. Mr. Speaker, on rollcall No. 601, I was unavoidably
detained from arriving before the close of the vote. Had I been
present, I would have voted ``aye.''
Mrs. BLACK. Mr. Speaker, on rollcall No. 601, for final passage of
H.R. 33, I was previously detained for a family matter. Had I been
present, I would have voted ``aye.''
Ms. WILSON of Florida. Mr. Speaker, I was unable to attend to votes
in the House today. Had I been present, I would have voted ``aye'' on
