AUTHORIZING THE CLERK TO MAKE CORRECTIONS IN ENGROSSMENT OF H.R. 1249, 
                          AMERICA INVENTS ACT

  Mr. SMITH of Texas. Mr. Speaker, I ask unanimous consent that the 
clerk be authorized to make technical corrections in the engrossment of 
H.R. 1249, to include corrections in spelling, punctuation, section 
numbering and cross-referencing, the insertion of appropriate headings, 
and the insertion of the word ``written'' in the appropriate place in 
the instruction in amendment No. 1 to strike material on lines 23 
through 25 on page 114.
  The SPEAKER pro tempore. Is there objection to the request of the 
gentleman from Texas?
  There was no objection.
