                           NOTICE OF HEARING


                PERMANENT SUBCOMMITTEE ON INVESTIGATIONS

  Mr. LEVIN. Mr. President, I would like to announce for the 
information of the Senate and the public that the Permanent 
Subcommittee on Investigations of the Committee on Homeland Security 
and Governmental Affairs has scheduled a hearing entitled, ``Stimulus 
Contractors Who Cheat on Their Taxes: What Happened?'' The Subcommittee 
hearing will focus on the findings of the forthcoming Government 
Accountability Office Report entitled Thousands of Recovery Act 
Contract and Grant Recipients Owe Hundreds of Millions in Federal Taxes 
to examine how contractors with tax delinquencies received payments 
under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, ARRA. The hearing 
will also examine solutions to the problem, including denying Federal 
contract dollars to subcontractors with serious tax delinquencies. 
Witnesses for the hearing will include Mr. Gregory D. Kutz, Director of 
Forensic Audits and Investigative Services of the Government 
Accountability Office and The Honorable Daniel I. Gordon, Administrator 
of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy at the Office of Management 
and Budget.
  The Subcommittee hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 24, 
2011, at 2:30 p.m. in room 342 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
