                 MEASURE READ THE FIRST TIME--H.R. 1213

  Mr. MERKLEY. Mr. President, I understand H.R. 1213 has been received 
from the House and is at the desk.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the bill by title for 
the first time.
  The legislative clerk read as follows:

       A bill (H.R. 1213) to repeal mandatory funding provided to 
     States in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to 
     establish American Health Benefit Exchanges.

  Mr. MERKLEY. I ask for its second reading and object to my own 
request.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection is heard.
  The bill will be read for the second time on the next legislative 
day.
