Mr. DURBIN. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that when the
Senate completes its business today, it adjourn until 10 a.m. on
Tuesday, December 14; that following the prayer and pledge, the Journal
of proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be deemed expired,
the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the
day; that following any leader remarks, the Senate resume consideration
of the motion to concur with respect to H.R. 4853, the vehicles for the
tax compromise, postcloture; further, I ask that the Senate recess from
12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus lunches, and
that any time during any period of morning business, recess, or
adjournment count postcloture.
