PARLIAMENTARY INQUIRY
Mr. ISSA. Madam Speaker, a point of parliamentary inquiry.
The SPEAKER pro tempore. The gentleman will state his parliamentary
inquiry.
Mr. ISSA. At the end of debate, isn't it appropriate to call for the
vote prior to postponing for the yeas and nays? I heard no request for
it. Are we postponing further debate, even though debate has concluded,
rather than a House vote and then postponing a recorded vote?
The SPEAKER pro tempore. Time for debate has expired. Pursuant to
clause 1(c) of rule XIX, further consideration of the motion has been
postponed.
