HOH INDIAN TRIBE SAFE HOMELANDS ACT
Mr. DURBIN. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate
proceed to the immediate consideration of Calendar No. 422, H.R. 1061.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the bill by title.
The assistant legislative clerk read as follows:
A bill (H.R. 1061) to transfer certain land to the United
States to be held in trust for the Hoh Indian Tribe, to place
land into trust for the Hoh Indian Tribe, and for other
purposes.
There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the bill.
Mr. DURBIN. Mr. President, I further ask unanimous consent that the
Cantwell amendment, which is at the desk, be agreed to; the bill, as
amended, be read a third time and passed; the motion to reconsider be
laid upon the table with no intervening action or debate; and that any
statements relating to the bill be printed in the Record.

The amendment (No. 4686) was agreed to, as follows:
(Purpose: To make a technical correction)
On page 4, lines 8 through 10, strike ``upon compliance
with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969'' and
insert ``in accordance with the regulations of the Department
of the Interior for implementing the National Environmental
Policy Act of 1969 (42 U.S.C. 4321 et seq.) that are
applicable to trust land acquisitions for Indian tribes that
are mandated by Federal legislation,''.
On page 8, strike lines 14 through 19 and insert the
following:
SEC. 5. GAMING PROHIBITION.
The amendment was ordered to be engrossed and the bill to be read a
third time.
The bill (H.R. 1061), as amended, was read the third time, and
passed.
