PROVIDING FOR THE USE OF THE CAPITOL VISITOR CENTER CATAFALQUE
Mr. REID. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate
proceed to S. Con. Res. 65.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the concurrent
resolution by title.
The assistant legislative clerk read as follows:
A concurrent resolution (S. Con. Res. 65) providing for the
use of the catafalque situated in the Exhibition Hall of the
Capitol Visitor Center in connection with memorial services
to be conducted in the United States Senate Chamber for the
Honorable Robert C. Byrd, late a Senator from the State of
West Virginia.
There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the
concurrent resolution.
Mr. REID. I ask unanimous consent that the concurrent resolution be
agreed to and the motion to reconsider be laid upon the table.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
The concurrent resolution (S. Con. Res. 65) was agreed to, as
follows:
S. Con. Res. 65
Resolved by the Senate (the House of Representatives
concurring), That the Architect of the Capitol is authorized
and directed to transfer the catafalque which is situated in
the Exhibition Hall of the Capitol Visitor Center to the
Senate Chamber so that such catafalque may be used in
connection with services to be conducted there for the
Honorable Robert C. Byrd, late a Senator from the State of
West Virginia.
