  Mr. REID. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate 
proceed to executive session to consider Executive Calendar No. 962, 
the nomination of John Pistole to be Assistant Secretary of Homeland 
Security; that the nomination be confirmed, the motion to reconsider be 
laid upon the table; that any statements relating to the nomination be 
printed in the Record as if read; that the President be immediately 
notified of the Senate's action and the Senate resume legislative 
session.
  The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. Without objection, it is so
