Mr. FRIST. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the
Senate completes its business today, it stand in adjournment until 8:30
a.m, Friday, April 7. I further ask unanimous consent that following
the prayer and pledge, the morning hour be deemed expired, the Journal
of proceedings be approved to date, the time for the two leaders be
reserved, and the Senate resume consideration of S. 2454, the border
security bill, with 1 hour of debate equally divided between the
managers or their designees prior to the cloture vote. I further ask
unanimous consent that the Senate then proceed to a vote on the motion
to invoke cloture on the motion to commit, as under the previous order.
Further, I ask unanimous consent that with respect to cloture motions
filed yesterday on the motion to commit and the underlying bill, that
the mandatory quorums under rule XXII be waived.
