              AMENDING THE AGRICULTURAL CREDIT ACT OF 1987

  Mr. FRIST. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent the Agriculture 
Committee be discharged from further consideration of S. 643 and the 
Senate proceed to its immediate consideration.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered. The clerk 
will report the bill by title.
  The assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

       A bill (S. 643) to amend the Agricultural Credit Act of 
     1987 to reauthorize State mediation programs.

  There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the bill.
  Mr. FRIST. I ask unanimous consent the bill be read a third time and 
passed, the motion to reconsider be laid upon the table, and that any 
statements be printed in the Record.

       Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of 
     the United States of America in Congress assembled,

     SECTION 1. REAUTHORIZATION OF STATE MEDIATION PROGRAMS.

       Section 506 of the Agricultural Credit Act of 1987 (7 
     U.S.C. 5106) is amended by striking ``2005'' and inserting 
     `'2010''.
