                          MEDICAL MALPRACTICE

Mr. GREGG. Mr. President, later on, we are going to move to the
medical malpractice bill, which is an important piece of legislation.
It will allow women, especially, to have access to OB/GYN doctors, some
of whom are giving up their practices of delivering babies because of
the cost of medical liability insurance. It will also address the issue
of doctors in emergency rooms and make sure those doctors are able to
practice in emergency rooms so people, when they are seriously injured
and they go to an emergency room, will have doctors. We will be on that
bill at 11 o'clock.
