                     CONGRATULATING SANDRA PEEBLES

  (Ms. ROS-LEHTINEN asked and was given permission to address the House
for 1 minute and to revise and extend her remarks.)
  Ms. ROS-LEHTINEN. Mr. Speaker, I am proud to congratulate Sandra
Peebles, a constituent of my congressional district, for her support of
the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in its fight to find a cure for these
deadly diseases.
  Susan became involved with the society's team and training with the
goal of completing a 13-mile marathon by September 1.
  Leukemia is the number one killer of children under the age of 15;
and with the commitment of individuals like Susan, however, the cure
for lymphoma and leukemia will one day become a reality.
  Susan gets donations from concerned citizens as she runs her marathon
on behalf of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
  I am proud to know generous and concerned individuals like Susan
Peebles who give up their time for such a worthy cause. I ask my
congressional colleagues to join me in congratulating Susan Peebles and
the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
