                        CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM

Mr. FEINGOLD. Mr. President, our victory Thursday on campaign finance
reform was a tremendous victory for the American people, and it
wouldn't have been possible without the tremendous support of
grassroots organizations whose members and staff worked tirelessly to
help us pass this bill. I mentioned a few of those organizations on the
floor yesterday, but I wanted to take this opportunity today to single
out four other groups who made invaluable contributions to our effort
as part of the Americans For Reform coalition. The Sierra Club, AARP,
the League of Women Voters, and NETWORK, the Catholic social justice
lobby, deserve special recognition for the work they did on this
legislation. I would also like to thank John Weaver and Lanny Wiles for
their assistance during this effort. In particular, I am grateful to
the people of Wisconsin whose support for this issue has been strong
and steadfast.
