TRIBUTE TO VICTIMS OF THE EMBASSY BOMBINGS IN KENYA AND TANZANIA
______
HON. IKE SKELTON
of missouri
in the house of representatives
Wednesday, September 16, 1998
Mr. SKELTON. Mr. Speaker, I am sure all of my colleagues in the House
of Representatives were horrified by the tragic loss of life in the
bombings of our embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam. Twelve
Americans and nearly 300 Africans were killed and more than 5,000
people were injured.
We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of
those who died and to those who were injured. The nation owes an
enormous debt of gratitude to the men and women who serve our interests
overseas, and to their families. We mourn their loss.
