GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE GOOD FOR BUREAUCRATS BUT BAD FOR AMERICA'S
                                FAMILIES

(Mr. BOEHNER asked and was given permission to address the House for
1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.)
Mr. BOEHNER. Mr. Speaker, many want us to believe that Government-run
health care is good for families.
However, the only ones who will benefit from such a system are
Government bureaucrats.
Families lose because they will no longer be able to choose what
doctor to see and when.
Families lose because they will not be able to use another health
insurance policy or doctor if these are not one of the Government's
options.
Families lose because the Government will limit the kinds of
treatment and medicine they can seek.
The problems with America's health care system shouldn't be fixed by
putting Government bureaucrats between families and their doctors.
Government-run health care may be good for bureaucrats, but it's bad
for America's families.
