    <main style="-uslm-dtd:legis-body"><longTitle><docTitle style="-uslm-dtd:legis-type">AN ACT</docTitle><officialTitle style="-uslm-dtd:official-title">To direct the Secretary of the Interior to convey certain Federal land to Deschutes County, Oregon.</officialTitle></longTitle><enactingFormula style="-uslm-dtd:enacting-clause">Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s1" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">SHORT TITLE. </heading>
            <content style="-uslm-dtd:text" class="block">This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle style="-uslm-dtd:quote"><inline style="-uslm-dtd:short-title">La Pine Land Conveyance Act</inline></shortTitle>”.</content>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s2" styleType="OLC" role="definitions">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">DEFINITIONS. </heading>
            <chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text" class="block">In this Act:</chapeau>
            <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s2/1" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">City.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The term “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">City</term>” means the City of La Pine, Oregon.</content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s2/2" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">County.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The term “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">County</term>” means the County of Deschutes, Oregon.</content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s2/3" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">(3) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Map.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The term “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">map</term>” means the map entitled “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">La Pine, Oregon Land Transfer</term>” and dated December 11, 2009.</content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s2/4" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="4">(4) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Secretary.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The term “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Secretary</term>” means the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the Bureau of Land Management.</content>
            </paragraph>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">CONVEYANCES OF LAND. </heading>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/a" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="a">(a) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">In General.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">As soon as practicable after the date of enactment of this Act, subject to valid existing rights and the provisions of this Act, and notwithstanding the land use planning requirements of sections 202 and 203 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (43 U.S.C. 1712, 1713), the Secretary shall convey to the City or County, without consideration, all right, title, and interest of the United States in and to each parcel of land described in subsection (b) for which the City or County has submitted to the Secretary a request for conveyance by the date that is not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/b" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">(b) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Description of Land.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">The parcels of land referred to in subsection (a) consist of—</chapeau>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/b/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the approximately 150 acres of land managed by the Bureau of Land Management, Prineville District, Oregon, depicted on the map as “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">parcel A</quotedText>”, to be conveyed to the County, which is subject to a right-of-way retained by the Bureau of Land Management for a power substation and transmission line;</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/b/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the approximately 750 acres of land managed by the Bureau of Land Management, Prineville District, Oregon, depicted on the map as “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">parcel B</quotedText>”, to be conveyed to the County; and</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/b/3" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">(3) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the approximately 10 acres of land managed by the Bureau of Land Management, Prineville District, Oregon, depicted on the map as “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">parcel C</quotedText>”, to be conveyed to the City.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/c" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="c">(c) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Availability of Map.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The map shall be on file and available for public inspection in the appropriate offices of the Bureau of Land Management.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/d" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="d">(d) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Use of Conveyed Land.—</heading>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/d/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">In general.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">Consistent with the Act of June 14, 1926 (commonly known as the “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Recreation and Public Purposes Act</quotedText>”) (43 U.S.C. 869 et seq.), the land conveyed under subsection (a) shall be used for the following public purposes and associated uses:</chapeau>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/d/1/A" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="A">(A) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The parcel described in subsection (b)(1) shall be used for outdoor recreation, open space, or public parks, including a rodeo ground.</content>
                    </subparagraph>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/d/1/B" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="B">(B) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The parcel described in subsection (b)(2) shall be used for a public sewer system.</content>
                    </subparagraph>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/d/1/C" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="C">(C) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The parcel described in subsection (b)(3) shall be used for a public library, public park, or open space.</content>
                    </subparagraph>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/d/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Additional terms and conditions.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The Secretary may require such additional terms and conditions for the conveyances under subsection (a) as the Secretary determines to be appropriate to protect the interests of the United States.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/e" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="e">(e) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Administrative Costs.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The Secretary shall require the County to pay all survey costs and other administrative costs associated with the conveyances to the County under this Act.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/112/164/s3/f" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="f">(f) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Reversion.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">If the land conveyed under subsection (a) ceases to be used for the public purpose for which the land was conveyed, the land shall, at the discretion of the Secretary, revert to the United States.</content>
            </subsection>
        </section>
    </main>
