    <main style="-uslm-dtd:legis-body"><longTitle><docTitle style="-uslm-dtd:legis-type">AN ACT</docTitle><officialTitle style="-uslm-dtd:official-title">To direct the Secretary of the Interior to issue commercial use authorizations to commercial stock operators for operations in designated wilderness within the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, and for other purposes.</officialTitle></longTitle><enactingFormula style="-uslm-dtd:enacting-clause">Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/112/128/s1" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">SHORT TITLE. </heading>
            <content style="-uslm-dtd:text" class="block">This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle style="-uslm-dtd:quote"><inline style="-uslm-dtd:short-title">Sequoia and King Canyon National Parks Backcountry Access Act</inline></shortTitle>”.</content>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/112/128/s2" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">COMMERCIAL SERVICES AUTHORIZATIONS IN WILDERNESS WITHIN THE SEQUOIA AND KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS. </heading>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/112/128/s2/a" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="a">(a) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Continuation of Authority.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Until the date on which the Secretary of the Interior (referred to in this Act as the “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Secretary</quotedText>”) completes any analysis and determination required under the Wilderness Act (16 U.S.C. 1131 et seq.), the Secretary shall continue to issue authorizations to provide commercial services for commercial stock operations (including commercial use authorizations and concession contracts) within any area designated as wilderness in the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks (referred to in this section as the “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Parks)</quotedText>” at use levels determined by the Secretary to be appropriate and subject to any terms and conditions that the Secretary determines to be appropriate.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/112/128/s2/b" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">(b) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Wilderness Stewardship Plan.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Not later than 3 years after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall complete a wilderness stewardship plan with respect to the Parks.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/112/128/s2/c" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="c">(c) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Termination of Authority.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">The authority of the Secretary to issue authorizations under subsection (a) shall terminate on the earlier of—</chapeau>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/128/s2/c/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the date on which the Secretary begins to issue authorizations to provide commercial services for commercial stock operations within any areas designated as wilderness in the Parks, as provided in a record of decision issued in accordance with a wilderness stewardship plan completed under subsection (b); or</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/112/128/s2/c/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the date that is 4 years after the date of enactment of this Act.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
        </section>
    </main>
