    <main style="-uslm-dtd:legis-body"><longTitle><docTitle style="-uslm-dtd:legis-type">AN ACT</docTitle><officialTitle style="-uslm-dtd:official-title">To reauthorize the Congressional Award Act.</officialTitle></longTitle><enactingFormula style="-uslm-dtd:enacting-clause">Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
        <section identifier="/us/sComp/119/66/s1" style="-uslm-dtd:section" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><editorialNote role="uscRef" style="-uslm-dtd:usc-reference"><b>[</b><ref href="/us/usc/t2/s801">2 U.S.C. 801 note</ref><b>]</b> </editorialNote><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">SHORT TITLE. </heading>
            <content class="block" style="-uslm-dtd:text">This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Congressional Award Program Reauthorization Act</shortTitle>”.</content>

        <section identifier="/us/sComp/119/66/s2" style="-uslm-dtd:section" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">TERMINATION. </heading>
            <subsection identifier="/us/sComp/119/66/s2/a" style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="a">(a) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">In General.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 108 of the Congressional Award Act (2 U.S.C. 808) is amended by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">October 1, 2023</quotedText>” and inserting “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">October 1, 2028</quotedText>”.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection identifier="/us/sComp/119/66/s2/b" style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">(b) </num><editorialNote role="uscRef" style="-uslm-dtd:usc-reference"><b>[</b><ref href="/us/usc/t2/s808">2 U.S.C. 808 note</ref><b>]</b> </editorialNote><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Retroactive Effective Date.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect as if enacted on October 1, 2023.</content>
            </subsection>
        </section>
        <section identifier="/us/sComp/119/66/s3" style="-uslm-dtd:section" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">OTHER AMENDMENTS. </heading>
            <chapeau class="block" style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 102 of the Congressional Award Act (2 U.S.C. 802) is amended—</chapeau>
            <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/119/66/s3/1" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">in subsection (a), by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Each medal shall consist of gold-plate over bronze, rhodium over bronze, or bronze and shall be struck in accordance with subsection (f).</quotedText>”; and</content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/119/66/s3/2" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">in subsection (f)(1), in the second sentence, by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Subject to subsection (a), the</quotedText>” and inserting “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">The</quotedText>”.</content>
            </paragraph>
