        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="6">SEC. 6. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">GRANT REGARDING MEDICAL FACILITIES. </heading>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/a" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="a">(a) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">In General.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The Secretary of Health and Human Services may make a grant to the George Washington University Hospital, a nonprofit private hospital located in the District of Columbia, for the purpose of constructing or modernizing a medical facility of such Hospital.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/b" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">(b) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Requirement of Matching Funds.—</heading>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/b/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">In general.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The Secretary may not make a grant under subsection (a) unless the applicant for the grant agrees, with respect to the costs of carrying out the purpose described in such subsection, to make available (directly or through donations from public or private entities) non-Federal contributions in cash toward such costs in an amount that is not less than $1 for each $1 of Federal funds provided in the grant.</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/b/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Determination of amount of non-Federal contribution.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">In determining the amount of non-Federal contributions in cash that has been provided for purposes of paragraph (1), the Secretary may not include any amounts provided by the Federal Government.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/c" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="c">(c) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Obligations Regarding Free Care and Community Service.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The Secretary may not make a grant under subsection (a) unless the applicant for the grant agrees that clauses (i) and (ii) of section 1621(b)(1)(K) of the Public Health Service Act (and regulations issued under such clauses), and section 1622 of such Act (and regulations issued under such section), will apply with respect to the medical facility constructed or modernized with the grant to the same extent and in the same manner as such sections and regulations apply with respect to medical facilties constructed or modernized with funds that have been paid under title XVI of such Act.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/d" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="d">(d) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Definition.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">For purposes of this Act<ref style="-uslm-dtd:footnote-ref" idref="ID31689BCF7D994FDEBD4515EE77C3A9A0" class="footnoteRef">1</ref>, the term “<term style="-uslm-dtd:term">Secretary</term>” means the Secretary of Health and Human Services.</content><footnote id="ID31689BCF7D994FDEBD4515EE77C3A9A0" style="-uslm-dtd:footnote"><sup style="-uslm-dtd:superscript">1</sup><p style="-uslm-dtd:para; margin-left:1em">So in law. Probably should be “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">section</quotedText>”.</p></footnote>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/e" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="e">(e) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Funding.—</heading>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/e/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Authorization of appropriations.—</heading>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/e/1/A" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="A">(A) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Subject to subparagraph (B), there is authorized to be appropriated an aggregate $50,000,000 for the fiscal years 1992 through 1995<ref style="-uslm-dtd:footnote-ref" idref="IDC85CCF3EF22742E58F5ADF44846C9053" class="footnoteRef">2</ref>.</content><footnote id="IDC85CCF3EF22742E58F5ADF44846C9053" style="-uslm-dtd:footnote"><sup style="-uslm-dtd:superscript">2</sup><p style="-uslm-dtd:para; margin-left:1em">So in law. The provision probably should specify the purpose for which the authorization of appropriations is provided.</p></footnote>
                    </subparagraph>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/e/1/B" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="B">(B) </num><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">The authorization of appropriations established in subparagraph (A) is effective only with respect to appropriations made from allocations under section 302(b) of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974—</chapeau>
                        <clause style="-uslm-dtd:clause" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/e/1/B/i" styleType="OLC">
                            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="i">(i) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">for the Subcommittee on the District of Columbia of the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives, in the case of any bill, resolution, or amendment considered in the House; and</content>
                        </clause>
                        <clause style="-uslm-dtd:clause" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/e/1/B/ii" styleType="OLC">
                            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="ii">(ii) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">for the Subcommittee on District of Columbia of the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate, in the case of any bill, resolution, or amendment considered in the Senate.</content>
                        </clause>
                    </subparagraph>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/101/590/s6/e/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Amount of grant.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Subject to the extent of amounts made available in appropriations Act, the amount of a grant under subsection (a) shall be $50,000,000.</content>

            </subsection>
