<num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1001">Sec. 1001. </num><editorialNote style="-uslm-dtd:usc-reference" role="uscRef"><b>[</b><ref href="/us/usc/t42/s217a–1">42 U.S.C. 217a–1</ref><b>]</b> </editorialNote><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">All appointments to advisory committees established to assist in implementing the Public Health Service Act, and the Comprehensive Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism Prevention, Treatment, and Rehabilitation Act of 1970, shall be made without regard to political affiliation.</content><footnote id="ID8507D4FAF4E140FB9B48A5E1F21CD7CE" style="-uslm-dtd:footnote"><sup style="-uslm-dtd:superscript">1</sup><p style="-uslm-dtd:para; margin-left:1em">42 U.S.C. 217a–1.</p></footnote>
