    <main style="-uslm-dtd:legis-body"><longTitle><docTitle style="-uslm-dtd:legis-type">AN ACT</docTitle><officialTitle style="-uslm-dtd:official-title">To direct the Secretary of the Interior to take into trust for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona certain land in Pima County, Arizona, and for other purposes.</officialTitle></longTitle><enactingFormula style="-uslm-dtd:enacting-clause">Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
        <section identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s1" style="-uslm-dtd:section" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">SHORT TITLE. </heading>
            <content class="block" style="-uslm-dtd:text">This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Old Pascua Community Land Acquisition Act</shortTitle>”.</content>
        </section>
        <section identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s2" role="definitions" style="-uslm-dtd:section" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">DEFINITIONS. </heading>
            <chapeau class="block" style="-uslm-dtd:text">In this Act:</chapeau>
            <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s2/1" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Compact-designated area.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The term “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Compact Designated Area</term>” means the area south of West Grant Road, east of Interstate 10, north of West Calle Adelanto, and west of North 15th Avenue in the City of Tucson, Arizona, as provided specifically in the Pascua Yaqui Tribe—State of Arizona Amended and Restated Gaming Compact signed in 2021.</content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s2/2" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Tribe.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The term “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Tribe</term>” means the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona, a federally recognized Indian tribe.</content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s2/3" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">(3) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Indian tribe.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">The term “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Indian Tribe</term>”—</chapeau>
                <subparagraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s2/3/A" style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="A">(A) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">means any Indian tribe, band, nation, or other organized group or community, including any Alaska Native village that is recognized as eligible for the special programs and services provided by the United States to Indians because of their status as Indians; and</content>
                </subparagraph>
                <subparagraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s2/3/B" style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="B">(B) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">does not include any Alaska Native regional or village corporation.</content>
                </subparagraph>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s2/4" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="4">(4) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Secretary.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The term “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Secretary</term>” means the Secretary of the Interior.</content>
            </paragraph>
        </section>
        <section identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s3" style="-uslm-dtd:section" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">LAND TO BE HELD IN TRUST. </heading>
            <content class="block" style="-uslm-dtd:text">Upon the request of the Tribe, the Secretary shall accept and take into trust for the benefit of the Tribe, subject to all valid existing rights, any land within the Compact-Designated Area that is owned by Tribe.</content>
        </section>
        <section identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s4" style="-uslm-dtd:section" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="4">SEC. 4. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">APPLICATION OF CURRENT LAW. </heading>
            <chapeau class="block" style="-uslm-dtd:text">Gaming conducted by the Tribe in the Compact-Designated Area shall be subject to—</chapeau>
            <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s4/1" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (25 U.S.C. 2701 et seq.); and</content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s4/2" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">sections 1166 through 1168 of title 18, United States Code.</content>
            </paragraph>
        </section>
        <section identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s5" style="-uslm-dtd:section" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="5">SEC. 5. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">REAFFIRMATION OF STATUS AND ACTIONS. </heading>
            <subsection identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s5/a" style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="a">(a) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Administration.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">Land placed into trust pursuant to this Act shall—</chapeau>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s5/a/1" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">be a part of the Pascua Yaqui Reservation and administered in accordance with the laws and regulations generally applicable to land held in trust by the United States for an Indian Tribe; and</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s5/a/2" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">be deemed to have been acquired and taken into trust on September 18, 1978.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s5/b" style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">(b) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Rules of Construction.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">Nothing in this Act shall—</chapeau>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s5/b/1" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">enlarge, impair, or otherwise affect any right or claim of the Tribe to any land or interest in land in existence before the date of the enactment of this Act;</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s5/b/2" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">affect any water right of the Tribe in existence before the date of the enactment of this Act;</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s5/b/3" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">(3) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">terminate or limit any access in any way to any right-of-way or right-of-use issued, granted, or permitted before the date of the enactment of this Act; or</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/117/275/s5/b/4" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="4">(4) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">alter or diminish the right of the Tribe to seek to have additional land taken into trust by the United States for the benefit of the Tribe.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
        </section>
