    <main style="-uslm-dtd:legis-body"><longTitle><docTitle style="-uslm-dtd:legis-type">AN ACT</docTitle><officialTitle style="-uslm-dtd:official-title">To designate certain national forest system lands in the State of Utah for inclusion in the National Wilderness Preservation System to release other forest lands for multiple use management, and for other purposes.</officialTitle></longTitle><enactingFormula style="-uslm-dtd:enacting-clause">
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
</enactingFormula><section class="inline" role="undesignated-level" style="-uslm-dtd:section" styleType="OLC"><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">That  this Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Utah Wilderness Act of 1984</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
        <title identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI" style="-uslm-dtd:title">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="I">TITLE I—</num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">FINDINGS, PURPOSES, AND WILDERNESS DESIGNATION </heading>

            <section identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102" style="-uslm-dtd:section" styleType="traditional">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="102">Sec. 102. </num><editorialNote role="uscRef" style="-uslm-dtd:usc-reference"><b>[</b><ref href="/us/usc/t16/s1132">16 U.S.C. 1132 note</ref><b>]</b> </editorialNote><subsection class="inline" identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a" style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" styleType="traditional"><num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="a">(a) </num><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">In furtherance of the purpose of the Wilderness Act (78 Stat. 890), the following national forest system lands in the State of Utah are hereby designated as wilderness, and, therefore, as components of the National Wilderness Preservation System:</chapeau>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/1" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest which comprise approximately forty-four thousand three hundred and fifty acres, as generally depicted on a map entitled, “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Mt. Naomi Wilderness-Proposed</quotedText>”, dated June 1984, and which shall be
known as the Mount Naomi Wilderness;</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/2" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest which
comprise approximately twenty-three thousand eight hundred
and fifty acres as generally depicted on a map entitled “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Wellsville Mountain Wilderness-Proposed</quotedText>”, dated November 1983,
and which shall be known as the Wellsville Mountain
Wilderness;</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/3" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">(3) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest which
comprise approximately sixteen thousand acres as generally depicted on a map entitled “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Mt. Olympus Wilderness-Proposed</quotedText>”, dated August 1984, and which shall be known as the
Mount Olympus Wilderness;</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/4" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="4">(4) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest which
comprise approximately thirteen thousand one hundred acres
as generally depicted on a map entitled “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Twin Peaks Wilderness-Proposed</quotedText>”, dated June 1984, and which shall be known as
the Twin Peaks Wilderness;</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/5" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="5">(5) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Wasatch-Cache and Ashley National
Forests which comprise approximately four hundred and sixty thousand acres as generally depicted on a map entitled “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">High Uintas Wilderness-Proposed</quotedText>”, dated June 1984, and which
shall be known as the High Uintas Wilderness;</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/6" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="6">(6) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Uinta National Forest which comprise approximately ten thousand seven hundred and fifty acres as
generally depicted on a map entitled “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Mt. Timpanogos Wilderness-Proposed</quotedText>”, dated November 1983, and which shall be
known as the Mount Timpanogos Wilderness;</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/7" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="7">(7) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Uinta National Forest which comprise
approximately twenty-eight thousand acres as generally depicted on a map entitled “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Mt. Nebo Wilderness-Proposed</quotedText>”, dated June 1984, and which shall be known as the Mount Nebo
Wilderness; </content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/8" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="8">(8) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Manti-LaSal National Forest which
comprise approximately forty-five thousand acres as generally
depicted on a map entitled “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Dark Canyon Wilderness-Proposed</quotedText>”, dated November 1983, and which shall be known as the
Dark Canyon Wilderness;</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/9" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="9">(9) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Dixie National Forest which comprise
approximately seven thousand acres as generally depicted on a
map entitled “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Ashdown Gorge Wilderness-Proposed</quotedText>”, dated
November 1983, and which shall be known as the Ashdown
Gorge Wilderness; </content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/10" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="10">(10) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Dixie National Forest which comprise approximately twenty-six thousand acres as generally depicted
on a map entitled “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Box-Death Hollow Wilderness-Proposed</quotedText>”, dated June 1984, and which shall be known as the Box-Death
Hollow Wilderness; </content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/11" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="11">(11) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Dixie National Forest which comprise approximately fifty thousand acres as generally depicted on amap entitled “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Pine Valley Mountain Wilderness-Proposed</quotedText>”, dated June 1984, and which shall be known as the Pine Valley Mountain Wilderness; </content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/12" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="12">(12) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Wasatch National Forest whichcomprise approximately twenty-five thousand five hundredacres as generally depicted on a map entitled “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Deseret Peak Wilderness-Proposed</quotedText>”, dated June 1984, and which shall beknown as the Deseret Peak Wilderness; and</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/a/13" style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="13">(13) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">certain lands in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest which comprise approximately 326.27 acres as generally depicted on a map entitled the “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Bonneville Shoreline Trail Legislative Map</quotedText>” dated July 9, 2020, are, subject to valid existing rights, hereby incorporated as part of the Mount Olympus Wilderness designated under paragraph (3).</content>
                </paragraph></subsection>
                <subsection identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/b" style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" styleType="traditional">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">(b) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The previous classifications are hereby abolished: the Mount
Timpanogos Scenic Area and the High Uintas Primitive Area.</content>
                </subsection>
                <subsection identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/c" style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="c">(c) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Mount Naomi Wilderness Boundary Adjustment.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Certain lands in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest which comprise approximately 11.17 acres as generally depicted on a map entitled the “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Bonneville Shoreline Trail Legislative Map</quotedText>”, dated July 9, 2020, are hereby removed from the Mount Naomi Wilderness designated under subsection (a)(1).</content>
                </subsection>
                <subsection identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/d" style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="d">(d) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Mount Olympus Wilderness Boundary Adjustment.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Certain lands in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest which comprise approximately 197.4 acres as generally depicted on a map entitled the “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Bonneville Shoreline Trail Legislative Map</quotedText>”, dated July 9, 2020, are hereby removed from the Mount Olympus Wilderness designated under subsection (a)(3).</content>
                </subsection>
                <subsection identifier="/us/sComp/98/428/tI/s102/e" style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="e">(e) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Twin Peaks Wilderness Boundary Adjustment.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Certain lands in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest which comprise approximately 9.8 acres as generally depicted on a map entitled the “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Bonneville Shoreline Trail Legislative Map</quotedText>”, dated July 9, 2020, are hereby removed from the Twin Peaks Wilderness designated under subsection (a)(4).</content>
                </subsection>
