    <main style="-uslm-dtd:legis-body"><longTitle><docTitle style="-uslm-dtd:legis-type">AN ACT</docTitle><officialTitle style="-uslm-dtd:official-title">To require the Secretary of Commerce to conduct an assessment and analysis of the outdoor recreation economy of the United States, and for other purposes.</officialTitle></longTitle><enactingFormula style="-uslm-dtd:enacting-clause">Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s1" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">SHORT TITLE. </heading>
            <content style="-uslm-dtd:text" class="block">This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Outdoor Recreation Jobs and Economic Impact Act of 2016</shortTitle>”.</content>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">ASSESSMENT AND ANALYSIS OF OUTDOOR RECREATION ECONOMY OF THE UNITED STATES. </heading>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/a" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="a">(a) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Assessment and Analysis.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The Secretary of Commerce shall enter into a joint memorandum with the Secretary of Agriculture and the Secretary of the Interior to conduct, acting through the Director of the Bureau of Economic Analysis, an assessment and analysis of the outdoor recreation economy of the United States and the effects attributable to such economy on the overall economy of the United States.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/b" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">(b) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Considerations.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">In conducting the assessment required by subsection (a), the Secretary of Commerce may consider employment, sales, and contributions to travel and tourism, and such other contributing components of the outdoor recreation economy of the United States as the Secretary considers appropriate.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/c" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="c">(c) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Consultation.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">In carrying out the assessment required by subsection (a), the Secretary of Commerce shall consult with—</chapeau>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/c/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the heads of such agencies and offices of the Federal Government as the Secretary considers appropriate, including the Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of the Interior, the Federal Recreation Council, the Director of the Bureau of the Census, and the Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics; and</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/c/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">representatives of businesses, including small business concerns, that engage in commerce in the outdoor recreation economy of the United States.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/d" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="d">(d) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Report.—</heading>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/d/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">In general.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Not later than 2 years after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Commerce shall submit to the appropriate committees of Congress a report on the findings of the Secretary with respect to the assessment conducted under subsection (a).</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/d/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Appropriate committees of congress.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">In this subsection, the term “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">appropriate committees of Congress</quotedText>” means—</chapeau>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/d/2/A" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="A">(A) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate;</content>
                    </subparagraph>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/d/2/B" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="B">(B) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the Committee on Environment and Public Works of the Senate;</content>
                    </subparagraph>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/d/2/C" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="C">(C) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate;</content>
                    </subparagraph>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/d/2/D" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="D">(D) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship of the Senate;</content>
                    </subparagraph>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/d/2/E" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="E">(E) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives; and</content>
                    </subparagraph>
                    <subparagraph style="-uslm-dtd:subparagraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/d/2/F" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="F">(F) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">the Committee on Small Business of the House of Representatives.</content>
                    </subparagraph>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/e" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="e">(e) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Small Business Concern Defined.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">In this section, the term “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">small business concern</quotedText>” has the meaning given such term under section 3 of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 632).</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/249/s2/f" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="f">(f) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">No Additional Funds Authorized.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">No additional funds are authorized to carry out the requirements of this Act. Such requirements shall be carried out using amounts otherwise authorized.</content>
            </subsection>
