<elided style="-uslm-dtd:omitted-text">* * * * * * *</elided><foreign id="warning-d54076e29" note="processing mode: unknown" role="passthroughContent"><compsdtd:account xmlns:compsdtd="http://schemas.gpo.gov/xml/comps-dtd" commented="no" id="P22A84AAE4C195668382B2A9D001EEC5" in-effect="yes" type="subsequent"><compsdtd:header bold="off" display-inline="yes-display-inline">GENERAL PROVISIONS, THIS CHAPTER</compsdtd:header><compsdtd:section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="P0287C25A49F7BFAA4FFB8E91CAAA671" in-effect="yes" section-type="subsequent-section" style="OLC" type="subsequent"><compsdtd:enum>12001.</compsdtd:enum><compsdtd:subsection commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="P81C6E95446296ED75E2C549AD124CB8" in-effect="yes" style="OLC" type="subsequent"><compsdtd:enum>(a)</compsdtd:enum><compsdtd:paragraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="P2814E78F4B7842EAED1907955DD4C00" in-effect="yes" style="OLC" type="subsequent"><compsdtd:enum>(1)</compsdtd:enum><compsdtd:text cross-reference-style="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding section 514 of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (22 U.S.C. 2321h), the President may transfer to Israel, in exchange for concessions to be negotiated by the Secretary of Defense, with the concurrence of the Secretary of State, any or all of the items described in paragraph (2).</compsdtd:text></compsdtd:paragraph><compsdtd:paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="PDD7D38CD4243C0F430636786E4ED4B0" in-effect="yes" indent="up1" style="OLC" type="subsequent"><compsdtd:enum>(2)</compsdtd:enum><compsdtd:text cross-reference-style="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline">The items referred to in paragraph (1) are defense articles that are in the inventory of the Department of Defense as of the date of transfer, are intended for use as reserve stocks for Israel, and are located in a stockpile for Israel as of the date of transfer<compsdtd:footnote-ref idref="ID2F74994ABF234FF2ABE7121502C6DB4D">1</compsdtd:footnote-ref></compsdtd:text><compsdtd:footnote id="ID2F74994ABF234FF2ABE7121502C6DB4D">

<compsdtd:para commented="no" indent="1em">So in law. Paragraph (1) of section 305 of division A of Public Law 118-50 provided for an amendment to subsection (a)(2) which results in there not being a period at the end.</compsdtd:para>
</compsdtd:footnote></compsdtd:paragraph></compsdtd:subsection><compsdtd:subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="PFAE9B8D04120C901227DDA96442BFB8" in-effect="yes" style="OLC" type="subsequent"><compsdtd:enum>(b)</compsdtd:enum><compsdtd:text cross-reference-style="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline">The value of concessions negotiated pursuant to subsection (a) shall be in an amount to be determined by the Secretary of Defense. The concessions may include cash compensation, services, waiver of charges otherwise payable by the United States, and other items of value.</compsdtd:text></compsdtd:subsection><compsdtd:subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="P14ACA8084440A3DCD8465BA4D59B66D" in-effect="yes" style="OLC" type="subsequent"><compsdtd:enum>(c)</compsdtd:enum><compsdtd:text cross-reference-style="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 30 days before making a transfer under the authority of this section, or as far in advance of such transfer as is practicable as determined by the President on a case-by-case basis during extraordinary circumstances impacting the national security of the United States, the President shall transmit a notification of the proposed transfer to the Committees on Foreign Relations and Armed Services of the Senate and the Committees on International Relations and Armed Services of the House of Representatives. The notification shall identify the items to be transferred and the concessions to be received.</compsdtd:text></compsdtd:subsection><compsdtd:subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="PFA57A84C4E2E03CF6CE430B870A1C91" in-effect="yes" style="OLC" type="subsequent"><compsdtd:enum>(d)</compsdtd:enum><compsdtd:text cross-reference-style="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline">No transfer may be made under the authority of this section after January 1, 2027.</compsdtd:text></compsdtd:subsection></compsdtd:section></compsdtd:account></foreign>
