    <main style="-uslm-dtd:legis-body"><longTitle><docTitle style="-uslm-dtd:legis-type">AN ACT</docTitle><officialTitle style="-uslm-dtd:official-title">To make administrative and technical corrections to the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995.</officialTitle></longTitle><enactingFormula style="-uslm-dtd:enacting-clause">Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/114/6/s1" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><editorialNote style="-uslm-dtd:usc-reference" role="uscRef"><b>[</b><ref href="/us/usc/t2/s1301">2 U.S.C. 1301 note</ref><b>]</b> </editorialNote><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">SHORT TITLE. </heading>
            <content style="-uslm-dtd:text" class="block">This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Office of Compliance Administrative and Technical Corrections Act of 2015</shortTitle>”.</content>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/114/6/s2" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">PROCEDURES FOR MEDIATION AND HEARINGS UNDER CONGRESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY ACT OF 1995. </heading>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/6/s2/a" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="a">(a) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Requiring Mediators To Be Appointed From Master List.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 403 of the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 (2 U.S.C. 1403) is amended—</chapeau>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/6/s2/a/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">in subsection (b)(1), by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">after considering recommendations by organizations composed primarily of individuals experienced in adjudicating or arbitrating personnel matters</quotedText>” and inserting “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">from the master list developed and maintained under subsection (e)</quotedText>”; and</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/6/s2/a/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">by adding at the end the following new subsection:<quotedContent style="-uslm-dtd:quoted-block">
                    <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" styleType="OLC">
                        <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="e">“(e) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Master List of Mediators.—</heading>
                        <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">“(1) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Development and maintenance of master list.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The Executive Director shall develop and maintain a master list of individuals who are experienced in adjudicating, arbitrating, or mediating the kinds of personnel and other matters for which mediation may be held under this section. Such list may include, but not be limited to, members of the bar of a State or the District of Columbia and retired judges of the United States courts.</content>
                        </paragraph>
                        <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" styleType="OLC">
                            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">“(2) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Consideration of candidates.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">In developing the master list under this subsection, the Executive Director shall consider candidates recommended by the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service or the Administrative Conference of the United States.”</content>
                        </paragraph>
                    </subsection></quotedContent>.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/6/s2/b" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">(b) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Clarification of Deadline To Elect Proceedings After End of Period of Mediation.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 404 of such Act (2 U.S.C. 1404) is amended by striking “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Not later than 90 days after a covered employee receives notice of the end of the period of mediation, but no sooner than 30 days after receipt of such notification, such covered employee</quotedText>” and inserting “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Not later than 90 days, but not sooner than 30 days, after the end of the period of mediation, a covered employee</quotedText>”.</content>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/6/s2/c" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="c">(c) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Notification of Confidentiality Requirements.—</heading>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/6/s2/c/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Mediations.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 416(b) of such Act (2 U.S.C. 1416(b)) is amended by striking the period at the end and inserting the following: “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">, and the Executive Director shall notify each person participating in the mediation of the confidentiality requirement and of the sanctions applicable to any person who violates the confidentiality requirement.</quotedText>”.</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/114/6/s2/c/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Hearings and deliberations.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">Section 416(c) of such Act (2 U.S.C. 1416(c)) is amended by adding at the end the following: “<quotedText style="-uslm-dtd:quote">The Executive Director shall notify each person participating in a proceeding or deliberation to which this subsection applies of the requirements of this subsection and of the sanctions applicable to any person who violates the requirements of this subsection.</quotedText>”.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/114/6/s2/d" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="d">(d) </num><editorialNote style="-uslm-dtd:usc-reference" role="uscRef"><b>[</b><ref href="/us/usc/t2/s1403">2 U.S.C. 1403 note</ref><b>]</b> </editorialNote><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Effective Date.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The amendments made by this section shall apply with respect to mediations and other proceedings which are first initiated after the date of the enactment of this Act.</content>
            </subsection>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/114/6/s3" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><editorialNote style="-uslm-dtd:usc-reference" role="uscRef"><b>[</b><ref href="/us/usc/t2/s1381">2 U.S.C. 1381 note</ref><b>]</b> </editorialNote><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">ADDITIONAL TERM FOR MEMBERS OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF OFFICE OF COMPLIANCE. </heading>
            <content style="-uslm-dtd:text" class="block">Notwithstanding section 301(e)(1) of the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 (2 U.S.C. 1381(e)(1)), any individual serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Office of Compliance as of February 28, 2015, may be appointed to serve for one additional term of 2 years.</content>
        </section>
