    <main style="-uslm-dtd:legis-body"><longTitle><docTitle style="-uslm-dtd:legis-type">AN ACT</docTitle><officialTitle style="-uslm-dtd:official-title">To repeal the Act of May 31, 1918, and for other purposes.</officialTitle></longTitle><enactingFormula style="-uslm-dtd:enacting-clause">Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,</enactingFormula>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s1" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">SHORT TITLE. </heading>
            <content style="-uslm-dtd:text" class="block">This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle style="-uslm-dtd:quote">May 31, 1918 Act Repeal Act</shortTitle>”.</content>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s2" styleType="OLC" role="definitions">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">DEFINITIONS. </heading>
            <chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text" class="block">In this Act:</chapeau>
            <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s2/1" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">
<inline style="-uslm-dtd:enum-in-header">1918</inline> act.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The term “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">1918 Act</term>” means the Act of May 31, 1918 (40 Stat. 592, chapter 88).</content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s2/2" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Fort hall townsite.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The term “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Fort Hall Townsite</term>” means the land that was taken out of trust by being set aside or set apart under the 1918 Act on the Fort Hall Reservation, consisting of approximately 120 acres in the East Half of the Northeast Quarter in Section 35 and the West Half of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter in Section 36, Township 4 South, Range 34 East, Boise Meridian, Idaho, based upon a survey completed on May 19, 1921, and depicted on the document entitled “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Plat of the Townsite of Fort Hall</term>” on file with Bingham County, Idaho and the Tribes.</content>
            </paragraph>
            <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s2/3" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">(3) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Tribes.—</heading><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">The term “<term style="-uslm-dtd:quote">Tribes</term>” means the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of the Fort Hall Reservation.</content>
            </paragraph>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s3" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">REPEAL. </heading>
            <content style="-uslm-dtd:text" class="block">The 1918 Act is repealed.</content>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s4" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="4">SEC. 4. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL. </heading>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s4/a" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="a">(a) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">In General.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">The Tribes shall have the exclusive right of first refusal to purchase at fair market value any land—</chapeau>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s4/a/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">within the Fort Hall Townsite; and</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s4/a/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">offered for sale.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
            <subsection style="-uslm-dtd:subsection" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s4/b" styleType="OLC">
                <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="b">(b) </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">Acquired Land Held in Trust.—</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-dtd:text">The United States shall hold in trust for the benefit of the Tribes or a member of the Tribes, as applicable—</chapeau>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s4/b/1" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="1">(1) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">any land owned or acquired by the Tribes or a member of the Tribes within the Fort Hall Townsite before the date of enactment of this Act; and</content>
                </paragraph>
                <paragraph style="-uslm-dtd:paragraph" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s4/b/2" styleType="OLC">
                    <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="2">(2) </num><content style="-uslm-dtd:text">any land owned or acquired by the Tribes or a member of the Tribes within the Fort Hall Townsite on or after the date of enactment of this Act.</content>
                </paragraph>
            </subsection>
        </section>
        <section style="-uslm-dtd:section" identifier="/us/sComp/113/262/s5" styleType="OLC">
            <num style="-uslm-dtd:enum" value="5">SEC. 5. </num><heading style="-uslm-dtd:header">EFFECT. </heading>
            <content style="-uslm-dtd:text" class="block">Nothing in this Act affects any valid right to any land set aside or set apart under the 1918 Act.</content>
