<compsdtd:para indent="1em" commented="no">The paragraph under the heading <compsdtd:quote><compsdtd:header-in-text level="section" style="OLC">forest ecosystems health and recovery fund (revolving fund, special account)</compsdtd:header-in-text></compsdtd:quote> in title I of the Department of the Interior and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2001 (Public Law 106–291; 114 Stat. 924), provides as follows: <compsdtd:quote>In addition to the purposes authorized in Public Law 102–381, funds made available in the Forest Ecosystem Health and Recovery Fund can be used for the purpose of planning, preparing, and monitoring salvage timber sales and forest ecosystem health and recovery activities such as release from competing vegetation and density control treatments. The Federal share of receipts (defined as the portion of salvage timber receipts not paid to the counties under 43 U.S.C. 1181f and 43 U.S.C. 1181f–1 et seq., and Public Law 103–66) derived from treatments funded by this account shall be deposited into the Forest Ecosystem Health and Recovery Fund.</compsdtd:quote>.</compsdtd:para>

</compsdtd:enum><compsdtd:legis-comment>43 U.S.C. 1736a</compsdtd:legis-comment><compsdtd:text display-inline="yes-display-inline" cross-reference-style="no">There is hereby established in the Treasury of the United States a special fund to be derived hereafter from the Federal share of moneys received from the disposal of salvage timber prepared for sale from the lands under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior. The money in this fund shall be immediately available to the Bureau of Land Management without further appropriation, for the purposes of planning and preparing salvage timber for disposal, the administration of salvage timber sales, and subsequent site preparation and reforestation.</compsdtd:text><compsdtd:subsection id="ID66818E13EA8443588247AF045B05D28F" commented="no" type="subsequent" in-effect="yes" style="OLC" display-inline="no-display-inline"><compsdtd:enum>

Nothing in this provision shall alter the formulas currently in existence by law for the distribution of receipts for the applicable lands and timber resources.</compsdtd:text></compsdtd:subsection></compsdtd:section></compsdtd:subaccount></foreign>
