Dear Mr. Speaker: In accordance with Executive Order 11845,
as amended by Executive Order 12608, I am transmitting the
cumulative report on rescissions. This report is required by
section 1014(e) of the Congressional Budget and Impoundment
Control Act of 1974 (2 U.S.C. 685(e)). In accordance with the
Act, the report is being transmitted concurrently to the Senate
and will be published in the Federal Register.
This August 2025 report provides the status of the 22
rescission proposals identified in the special message that was
transmitted on June 3, 2025. As reflected in the report, 21 of
the 22 proposals were enacted in the Rescissions Act of 2025
(Public Law 119-28).
