U.S. GOVERNMENT PUBLISHING OFFICE
59-011 WASHINGTON : 2025
To the Congress of the United States:
Section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C.
1622(d)) provides for the automatic termination of a national
emergency unless, within 90 days prior to the anniversary date
of its declaration, the President publishes in the Federal
Register and transmits to the Congress a notice stating that
the emergency is to continue in effect beyond the anniversary
date. In accordance with this provision, I have sent to the
Federal Register for publication the enclosed notice stating
that the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13692
of March 8, 2015, with respect to the situation in Venezuela is
to continue in effect beyond March 8, 2025.
The situation in Venezuela continues to pose an unusual and
extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign
policy of the United States. For this reason, I have determined
that it is necessary to continue the national emergency
declared in Executive Order 13692 with respect to the situation
in Venezuela.
Donald J. Trump.

Notice
----------
Continuation of the National Emergency With Respect to Venezuela
On March 8, 2015, the President issued Executive Order
13692, declaring a national emergency with respect to the
situation in Venezuela, including the Government of Venezuela's
erosion of human rights guarantees, persecution of political
opponents, curtailment of press freedoms, use of violence and
human rights violations and abuses in response to
antigovernment protests, and arbitrary arrest and detention of
antigovernment protesters, as well as the exacerbating presence
of significant government corruption.
The President took additional steps pursuant to this
national emergency in Executive Order 13808 of August 24, 2017;
Executive Order 13827 of March 19, 2018; Executive Order 13835
of May 21, 2018; Executive Order 13850 of November 1, 2018;
Executive Order 13857 of January 25, 2019; and Executive Order
13884 of August 5, 2019.
The circumstances, as described in Executive Order 13692
and subsequent Executive Orders issued with respect to
Venezuela, have not improved, and they continue to pose an
unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and
foreign policy of the United States. Therefore, in accordance
with section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C.
1622(d)), I am continuing for 1 year the national emergency
declared in Executive Order 13692.
This notice shall be published in the Federal Register and
transmitted to the Congress.
Donald J. Trump.
The White House, February 27, 2025.
