recipient of awards from the March of Dimes, Veterans of Foreign Wars,

National Cancer Society, Kentucky Educational Television, Kentucky

Council of Area Development Districts; son of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.M.

Eastern Kentucky, Murray State, Kentucky Wesleyan, Spalding University, 
Union College, and Brescia College; married the former Jean Neel, 1943; 
two children: Shirley (Mrs. William Dexter) and Steven; five
