HOUSE MESSAGE TO ACCOMPANY S. 139
1.--Ordered, That, following Leader Remarks on Thursday, January 18,
2018, the Senate resume consideration of the motion to concur in the
House Amendment to S. 139, an Act to implement the use of Rapid DNA
instruments to inform decisions about pretrial release or detention and
their conditions, to solve and prevent violent crimes and other crimes,
to exonerate the innocent, to prevent DNA analysis backlogs, and for
other purposes; provided, that the time until 12:15 p.m. be equally
divided between the two Leaders, or their designees; provided further,
that notwithstanding Rule XXII, all post-cloture time on the House
Message expire at 12:15 p.m.; further, that all time during recess,
adjournment, Morning Business and Leader remarks count post-cloture;
provided further, that the filing deadlines under Rule XXII with respect
to the cloture motion be at 4:45 p.m. for first degree amendments and
5:15 p.m. for second degree amendments on Tuesday, January 16. (Jan. 11,
16, 17, 2018.)
