HOUSE MESSAGE TO ACCOMPANY S. 139
1.--Ordered, That, following Leader Remarks on Tuesday, January 16,
2018, the Senate resume consideration of the House Message to Accompany
S. 139, an Act to implement the use of Rapid DNA instruments to inform
decisions about pretrial release or detention and their conditions, to
solve and prevent violent crimes and other crimes, to exonerate the
innocent, to prevent DNA analysis backlogs, and for other purposes;
provided, that the filing deadlines under Rule XXII with respect to the
cloture motion be at 4:45 p.m. for first degree amendments and 5:15 p.m.
for second degree amendments; provided further, that with respect to the
motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House Amendment
to S. 139, the mandatory quorum call under Rule XXII be waived. (Jan.
11, 2018.)
