S. 3001 (ORDER NO. 732)
1.--Ordered, That at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2008, the
Senate resume consideration of the motion to proceed to S. 3001, an
original bill to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2009 for
military activities of the Department of Defense, for military
construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to
prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for
other purposes; provided, that the time until 12:30 be divided in
alternating 30 minute blocks, with the Republicans controlling the first
block of time.
Ordered further, That with respect to the motion to invoke cloture
on the motion to proceed the mandatory quorum required under Rule XXII
be waived. (July 30, 2008.)

2.--Ordered, That S. 1974, a bill to make technical corrections
related to the Pension Protection Act of 2006, remain at the desk. (Mar.

or the underlying bill, that the bill and its amendments be referred to
